Also did not use quick oats and instead used the steel cut which require more cooking as i didnt have any instant on hand. Other than them being in a tad too long, they came out great! Going to use slightly less cinnamon, and cut the honey in half and add applesauce in. I did not freeze them before baking, is that why they came out round and not flat? This cookie recipe is incredible. Not too sugary, they are a healthier alternative to your typical chocolate chip cookie.

Love this recipe. Instead of whole wheat flour could I use almond flour or coconut flour? Also could I use diet type of sugar like splenda or sometji g like that instead of honey? I love this recipe, cookies are amazingly yummy. I did it first for my daughter and she shared with friends, then the next day I did a new batch and I shared at work, everybody love it, great flavor and healthy too? You cannot be wrong. For my second batch I made some alterations I made a flaxseed egg instead of real eggs what Flex seeds power and water. I used coconut oil instead of butter and instead of rolled oats I made rolled oats flour with my ninja bullet. My family love the recipe thank you for sharing.

Hi all. Quick question. Another thing I was planning on ditching the honey to see what they taste like sans sugar all together…would I have to modify wet ingredients to make up for this? If so what do you suggest? Hmmmm that seems like quite a few drastic changes!

Hi, I tried these yesterday afternoon, I included walnuts in mine recipe and they turned out really nice. Exactly what I was looking for, I have a sweet tooth and prefer to make my own stuff then store bought. I made these cookies tonight and they turned out fantastic! I ended up substituting the honey for maple syrup due to what I had in the kitchen and flour for kodiak cakes flapjack mix! I would definitely make again! Hey Lucy!

Let me know if it works for you! These were OK. The dough is really hard to work with even when refrigerated.. I would recommend you freeze them instead of the refrigerate option, that might make it easier.
